METHAPHORS
PHILIA

Er wordt gezegd dat er slechts twee geslachten zijn: man en vrouw. Deze uitspraak markeert een periode waarin mensen die zich daar niet in herkennen, te maken krijgen met onbegrip en veroordeling. Philia is het Griekse woord voor vriendschap en liefde - mijn antwoord op deze uitsluiting.

It is said that there are only two sexes: man and woman. This statement marks a period in which people who do not recognize themselves in this are met with misunderstanding and condemnation. Philia is the Greek word for friendship and love - my response to this exclusion.
LUCIFER
De lichtbrenger/gevallen engel

De engel Lucifer werd uit de hemel verstoten. Hij vraagt zich af waarom. Hier is hij nog de engel die later (misschien uit wrok) de duivel werd. Een metafoor voor wat gekwetstheid voort kan brengen.

The angel Lucifer was cast out of heaven. He wonders why. Here he is still the angel who later (perhaps out of spite) became the devil. A metaphor for what hurt can bring.

Is dit angst? Is dit liefde? Of gewoon een auditieve miscommunicatie in het bos? Een sprookje zonder moraal. Of met een moraal, maar dan in een vreemde taal.

Hoogmoed en sterfelijkheid

Het is de menselijke aard om de dood te slim af te willen zijn. De mens bedenkt medicatie en preventie om ziekte te voorkomen, maar de dood zal op deze 'hoogmoed' uiteindelijk inlopen.

Pride and Mortality ​
It is human nature to want to outsmart death. Man devises medicine and prevention to prevent illness, but death will eventually catch up to this 'pride'.
